Jomir Uddin Parvez was born on 10 September 1973 at West Raozan, 9 No Word. Son of late. Nurul Haque and Lutfar Nesa. He is also serving as President of the Jubo League, Raozan subdistrict. He is currently the current mayor of Raozan municipality. He was nominated at a board meeting chaired by Hon’ble Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina at Ganobhaban on Saturday, January 30, 2021 at 11 am. On March 24, 2021, Ing officially took charge of the Raozan Municipality Hall Room.

National awards achieved
Received an award from the Honorable Prime Minister for his outstanding contribution to education. He has been awarded the Prime Minister’s National Award in 2014 and 2019 by the Hon’ble Prime Minister for tree plantation, and environmental protection.
Under the direction of A.B.M. Fazle Karim Chowdhury, Member of Parliament for Raozan, relief materials have been distributed among the needy people in different parts of Raozan from the relief fund which was formed by the young politician Faraaz Karim Chowdhury. Jomir Uddin Parvez formed a help desk team in Raozan Municipality through which oxygen services, fruits, and food items were provided to the covid patients in various wards of Raozan Municipality. In a meeting hosted by the mayor of Raozan Municipality Jomir Uddin Parvez, it was decided to carry out burial shrouds and funerals of people who die due to coronavirus through a volunteer team called ‘Shesh Bidayer Sath
Activities and developments
Raozan Municipality has announced a proposed budget of BDT 52.96 crore for the financial year 2021-2022. Twelve garbage vans have been handed over to the municipality as a gift to make Raozan municipality a clean, tidy, modern municipality. In order to build a clean and modern municipality under the management of Raozan Municipality, he often helds Dustbin distribution activities, provides assistance to the unemployed people due to Corona virus under the direction of Hon’ble Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina and promotes tree plantation by hosting tree planting programs. He regularly conducts raids at various important places of the municipality in order to keep the roads clean and reduce traffic congestion. He also conducts campaigns at various important places of the municipality to clear and clean the sidewalks, and eliminate congestion. He also inspected flood-damaged roads and culverts in Sikdar Para in Ward No. 7 of the municipality and reconstruction work of Sikdar Para Jame Mosque. Eviction campaigns are often hosted by him to clear footpaths and clear drains in Jalil Nagar of the municipality. Opinion and Complaint Boxes have been set up in front of Gahira, Jalilnagar, Munsirghata and Municipal Offices as these places are four important places to make Raozan a modern, serviceable, transparent and accountable municipality.
